Calvin Austin III shined in his preseason debut, catching two of four targets for a whopping 73 yards and a score thanks to a long 67-yard TD reception from backup QB Mitchell Trubisky. Austin also added two carries for 23 yards on the ground.
Fantasy Impact: It’s no surprise Austin was featured in his first game action since coming into the NFL. He was robbed of his rookie season because of a foot injury, and there’s little doubt the Steelers wanted to see what they had in him. Austin more than likely starts off the season as the team’s WR4, with an aging Allen Robinson as his main competition for targets. Austin is a name to monitor, as his explosiveness could get him a more prominent role in the offense sooner rather than later.
