According to Darren Urban of the team’s site, Arizona Cardinals QB Colt McCoy is expected to be the team’s starter if QB Kyler Murray misses time due to his ACL recovery.
Fantasy Impact: Urban says it would “be an upset” if anyone else starts over McCoy to begin 2023. McCoy was the team’s spot starter last season after Murray went down in December and threw for 780 yards in four games with just one touchdown. The Cardinals do have a pair of veterans in Jeff Driskel and David Blough, and they have a fifth-round pick in Clayton Tune. Unless Tune impresses in the preseason, Urban expects to see McCoy under center.
