NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting Rams RB Darrell Henderson Jr. (rib cartilage) is a game-time decision for Week 3.
Fantasy Impact: While Henderson is a game-time call, Rapoport is stating that he has an “uphill battle” to play in Sunday’s tilt against the Buccaneers in a game with very early playoff seeding implications if both clubs remain on their current trajectory. Even if Henderson is active, he will likely be limited and is one hit from being knocked out as he is dealing with injured ribs. Look for Sony Michel to carry the load for the Rams while relinquishing some passing-down work to Jake Funk if Henderson is out. However, even if Henderson is active, Michel will likely see a heavier workload than he’s been getting since joining the Rams. While Rams’ backs will have some fantasy appeal against the Buccaneers, managers should limit their expectations. Tampa Bay’s front seven is amongst the best run-stuffing units in the NFL despite allowing the 16th most FPPG (16.9) to enemy backs through the first two games of the year.
