According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, third-year RB Elijah Mitchell (adductor sprain) is expected to return to practice this week.
Fantasy Impact: Mitchell was expected to miss about a week with his adductor sprain, but it has been over two weeks since then. Mitchell is slated to be the San Francisco 49ers’ RB2 in 2023, though he has an ever-growing history with injury, playing just 16 games in his first two seasons. With Mitchell getting a lesser workload behind All-Pro Christian McCaffrey, the hope is that he can stay healthy and provide value as a rotational back. He holds little standalone fantasy value in 2023, though.
