Gus Edwards (undisclosed) returned to Ravens minicamp on Thursday, according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com.
Fantasy Impact: Edwards missed last week’s OTAs, though head coach John Harbaugh downplayed the running back’s absence as a mere exercise of caution. The 28-year-old has played in just nine games over the last two seasons but has historically provided value in the Baltimore backfield as a top backup or handcuff option. This coming season, he projects as the No. 2 back behind J.K. Dobbins. As a result, Edwards isn’t worth starting on a weekly basis, but he’s still worth drafting considering the Ravens’ strong running game and the potential to move up the depth chart if Dobbins suffers an injury.
