Hendon Hooker, the Lions 2023 third-round draft pick, has been placed on the NFI list to begin camp, as he recovers from a torn ACL suffered during his 2022 campaign at Tennessee.
Fantasy Impact: Hooker boasted an impressive senior year in 2022, with over 30 total TDs and only two INTs, before he tore his ACL late in the season. The Lions took a swing on the Tennessee product in the third round, and while Jared Goff will certainly start this season, if he gets hurt Hooker has a great chance to see action once he is activated from the NFI list. Hooker is not worth a roster spot in standard leagues but may be worth a pick in Superflex dynasty league rookie drafts.
