Jonathan Taylor (ankle) was designated to return from the PUP list and will practice this week, but the star running back hasn’t changed his mind about playing for the Colts. According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, Taylor “still doesn’t want to play for the Colts, and they still don’t want to give him a long-term contract.”
Fantasy Impact: Taylor missed the first four weeks of the season with an alleged ankle injury, though there has been speculation that he would have been healthy enough to play Week 1. He also requested a trade back in the preseason, but Indianapolis’ attempts to acquire Christian Watson from Green Bay or Jaylen Waddle from Miami in exchange for Taylor were declined. In the end, the fact that Taylor is practicing doesn’t mean he’ll play for the Colts in Week 5 (or ever again). If he holds out for a trade, Zack Moss would continue to start at running back, ranking as a fantasy RB2.
