According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero on the Rich Eisen Show, RB Josh Jacobs could potentially miss training camp and even Week 1 of the 2023 season if he doesn’t get a long-term deal.
Fantasy Impact: Pelissero said that Jacobs is the “one who no one is talking about” in terms of potential drama at the RB position. He said that he doesn’t anticipate the NFL’s reigning rushing champion to be at training camp or maybe even the start of the season without a long-term deal. Pelissero did not express optimism that the two sides were close on a deal, unlike RB Saquon Barkley who is having active conversations. Jacobs is yet to sign his franchise tender and could continue to hold out this offseason.
