According to Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune, the Bears plan to play QB Justin Fields and other offensive and defensive starters in their preseason closer, though the snap range is not yet determined.
Fantasy Impact: Fields got to sit the second week of preseason after playing just two drives in the opener. As the unquestioned starter, he likely won’t play more than a couple of drives to get more in-game reps with the first-team offense. Fields is going on average as the QB7 and there’s not much to glimpse from his performance fantasy-wise, but attention should be put on which RB starts the game and plays with the 1s.
