Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Jet’s starting LT, Mekhi Becton, is dealing with plantar fasciitis but will not need surgery and should be ready for training camp.
Fantasy Impact: The Jets have advised Becton to stay off his feet for the next several weeks while he deals with a plantar fasciitis flare up. At this point surgery is not expected to be needed and Becton should be available for training camp. This could still be an injury to keep an eye on as it has a tendency to be nagging and without surgery just requires time to heal. Becton, 22-years old, proved himself to be one of the top tackles from last year’s draft class and his potential absence would be a big hit to the New York offensive line, rushing attack, and most importantly development of QB Zach Wilson.
