According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Detroit Lions have released K Michael Badgley.
Fantasy Impact: Badgley led the team in points per game in 2022 after being acquired a few games into the season to replace K Austin Seibert. Despite the belief that the Lions had found stability in a kicker that went 20-for-24 on field goals and a perfect 33-for-33 on extra points, the Lions are moving on from Badgley. The Lions’ K position is a two-man race between K Riley Patterson – acquired via trade – and the XFL’s Parker Romo. Badgley will likely find a role elsewhere soon.
