New Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen told reporters he expects WR Michael Thomas’ season to be over with season-ending toe surgery, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Fantasy Impact: Thomas has missed the majority of the season to this point with a foot injury, and now Thomas will be placed on IR after receiving surgery on his toe. The injury is expected to lead Thomas to miss the remainder of the season. Thomas’ absence puts rookie WR Chris Olave in the driver’s seat to command the Saints’ offense down the stretch, and Thomas likely does not need to be held on any rosters in re-draft leagues going forward.
