T.J. Hockenson, Vikings far apart on contract extension

The Vikings and tight end T.J. Hockenson have been working on an extension, but both sides are far apart, per league sources.

Fantasy Impact: Hockenson wants to reset the market with a historic contract extension for tight ends. In seven games with the Lions, he averaged 6.1 targets and had 26 catches. After the trade, Hockenson averaged 8.6 targets in Minnesota and had 60 catches in 10 games. Hockenson is in the prime of his career and is an attractive option at the TE position, so there is a case to be made for the 26-year-old tight end.
