Tony Pollard is not pushing things with his recovering fibula, as he is “easing back into it.” He is working with Cowboys trainers to ensure he does not push himself too much, too soon.
Fantasy Impact: Pollard will be taking over the Cowboys’ backfield in 2023 with Zeke Elliott finally out of the equation. The explosive Memphis RB has shown flashes of RB1 potential in the few opportunities he has been given in his career to start. The fact that he is being eased into the fold should not be surprising, and that he is practicing at all is a great sign for his regular-season health. Time will tell if Pollard sees any preseason action, but regardless he should be considered an RB1 when the regular season roles around, barring any setbacks.
