49ers WR Trent Sherfield caught 2-of-3 targets for 23 yards and a touchdown in the team’s Week 1 win over the Lions.

Fantasy Impact: Sherfield found the end zone by connecting with Trey Lance close to the goal-line. The big story of the day, however, was Sherfield starting over Brandon Aiyuk. It sounds as if Aiyuk is in Kyle Shanahan’s dog house for now, so look for Sherfield to see an expanded role for the time being.
