Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told reporters that CB Trevon Diggs, who is dealing with a toe injury that’s keeping him out of training camp, could be back as late as the team’s Week 2 home opener.
Fantasy Impact: Jones phrased it as though Diggs missing Week 1 would be a worst-case scenario, so there’s a chance that the injury the team called “minor” may result in no missed time. The Cowboys open the season in East Rutherford, N.J., against the New York Giants and play at home in Arlington, Texas against the New York Jets in Week 2. If he misses time, recent acquisition Stephon Gilmore would take over the team’s CB1 role.
