Zach Wilson completed 20-of-41 passes for 355 yards with two passing touchdowns and three interceptions while also rushing once for two yards in New York’s 22-17 loss to the Patriots in Week 8.
Fantasy Impact: Wilson finished Wirth his first career game 300+ yard passing game =, but he simply made too many mistakes, throwing a season-high three interceptions. Wilson connected with rookie Garrett Wilson six times for 115 of his 355 yards. Wilson’s second touchdown to Tyler Conklin came in the final minutes but it all counts the same in fantasy. With Breece Hall (knee) out, New York had to rely more on Wilson’s arm and he set a season-high with 41 pass attempts, so the Jets are clearly set on developing the passing game going forward. Wilson will have to be more careful with the ball going forward if he is going to help the Jets win as well as be fantasy relevant. Wilson still finished with nearly 20 fantasy points and has scored in double-digits in three of his five starts so the loss of Hall ironically will likely make ZW a more viable fantasy quarterback.
